Owl gets Gold Award

At the end of April we were visited by one of VisitEngland's professional quality assessors, for our annual review of the quality of our facilities, services and hospitality provided.  This was the first assessment for Owl Cottage and I'm delighted to advise it has achieved a Three Star Self Catering rating with a Gold Accolade.  Pheasant Cottage continues to achieve a Three Star Self Catering rating too.

A free & most exciting, innovative outdoor art festival

The SO Festival is returning again to East Lincolnshire from 25th June to 5th July and has become a must visit for locals and visitors to the area alike.  It is aimed at a family audience and is hailed as one of the most exciting and innovative outdoor art festivals in the UK.  The theme is inspired by traditional entertainment and highlights include a new show 'Circus Heroes'. You will also be able to immerse yourself in the fictional world of Alice in Wonderland.

The British Cycling National Time Trial Championships will mark the opening of the festival at the scenic Cadwell Park Motor Racing Circuit.  It will then visit Horncastle, Louth, Alford, Woodhall Spa, Mablethorpe and Spilsby before finishing in Skegness for a three-day spectacular.  All locations are within easy reach of our cottages.  Entry and all events are free (except the British Cycling Championships and Lincolnshire School Prom).  Check out the full the full festival programme at http://www.sofestival.org/article/3089/2015-Programme
