Hello

We've got your ideal walk, run or cycle route on our doorstep

We're perfectly located for walkers, runners and cyclists alike, with multiple public footpaths and the C4 cycle route running right through Rigsby.  We have acted on our last guest's suggestion and installed framed Ordnance Survey Maps in Owl and Pheasant, to help you make the most of your stay with us in this area of outstanding natural beauty.  If you want to plan your ideal walk, run or cycle route ahead of your holiday, we suggest you see the Lincolnshire countryside access and rights of way web pages at http://microsites.lincolnshire.gov.uk/Countryside .

Pheasant Cottage repainted

At the end of February we took advantage of the low season and had our decorator visit to repaint Pheasant.  The most noticeable difference is that we've changed the living room fire surround to a more neutral colour and we hope you are as pleased with the results as we are.

Don't miss bluebells in Rigsby Wood

The best time to visit Rigsby Wood is from April through to July, particularly great for Spring flowers.  The Lincolnshire Trust annual open day will be held on 3rd May this year, however, keep an eye on our Facebook page for when the bluebells are in their prime, as every year it varies and in 2014 it was on 27th April.

Lincoln Castle Re-opening

On 1st April Lincoln's renovated Norman castle, near the Cathedral, opens a £22m purpose-built state-of-the-art subterranean vault, containing one of the four surviving Magna Carta that celebrates its 800th anniversary this year.  The opening celebrations include medieval entertainment and personal appearances from CBeebies' Mike the Knight throughout the day, something I'm sure our grandson would enjoy.  Further details available at http://www.visitlincoln.com/whats-on/lincoln-castle-magna-carta-visitor-experience-opens
