After 6 comprehensive newsletters, this time we have just a brief one focusing on Alford & Skegness. We're having a rethink for the format and welcome your comments as to what you'd like to see in future editions e.g. would you like to hear more about things going on at the cottages, more news from Rigsby or more about up and coming local events? The end of June saw the opening of Skegness Aquarium, approx 25 mins away from our cottages. It's an exciting brand new family attraction based on the story and characters in treasure Island, so if you've a budding pirate in the family like our grandson it is not to be missed.

|
If you visit on Wednesday 26th August, why not continue the pirate theme by visiting Alford Manor House to watch the Pantaloons perform Treasure Island at 7pm? Take a picnic and something to sit on.

|
The annual switch on ceremony for Skegness Illuminations will be held on Saturday 8th August at approximately 10pm followed by fireworks at Tower Esplanade... free admission. Skegness' carnival week follows 9th-14th August with a cartoon theme, see their website or Facebook Page for more details.

The Alford Rocks Festival, which showcases local talent, will once again be held this year on Saturday 30th August from 12 noon in the Market Place. It promises to be bigger and better! Once we have further information we'll put details on our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/RigsbyWoldHolidayCottage
